About the Artist Directory

There are 3 places that every participating artist will be listed: the online directory, the printed Artist Directory, and the 2008 CWOS Map & Guide printed in the New Haven Advocate.

  1. Online directory. The profile each artist submits through the registration process will be made available as an individual page including where they will be showing, an artist statement, up to 3 images, and a link to an outside portfolio website. Once you have registered and uploaded your artist statement and images, these will appear in the directory. If you choose and are selected to participate in the Artist-in-Residence Sites program or CONNcentric, this information will also be included.

  2. The Artist Directory. New this year is the addition of a full color, 400 page, bound printed book directory highlighting every participating artist. Each artist will have a full-page profile that will include their name, artist statement, one image, website and any contact information they want to have printed. This book will be available to purchase on the weekend of CWOS at Artspace and each of the neighborhoods. It will also be available to purchase year-round at Artspace and online as a lasting guide to CWOS and artists in Greater New Haven. Every artist included will receive one complimentary copy of the directory. Artists who are unable to take part in the CWOS weekend this year, can register to be listed in the directory for a fee of $25, but will not be listed in our other publications for CWOS.

  3. CWOS Map & Guide. The New Haven Advocate features the CWOS Official Map & Guide, in the October 1,2008 issue in Greater New Haven, and promotes the event in its Fairfield, and Hartford issues. The Guide will feature a listing of each artist, studio location and medium, along with maps of each neighborhood and a schedule of events. Extra copies will be available at Artspace.
