She currently lives and works in New Haven. Her work incorporates stripes of color painted on birch wood and largely dictated by the wood grain to explore the relationships among color, composition, and organic patterning. Dow was named a Fine Arts Work Center fellow in 1999 and received a Joan Mitchell award for her work in 1998. In 1996, she won the Juror’s award at the Copley Society, in Boston, MA.
